• Debian 11 is approaching its end-of-life (vendor EOL date - August 31, 2026). Plesk Obsidian 18.0.80 will be the last release to support it.
If you are running Plesk Obsidian on Debian 11, we recommend you upgrade those servers to Debian 12 using our dist-upgrade tool.
  • We plan to deprecate and remove the support for XML RPC protocol versions earlier than 1.6.9.1 in Plesk Obsidian 18.0.82. We strongly recommend that you update all existing integrations using earlier versions of the XML RPC protocol to comply with the version 1.6.9.1 specification.

"Component Spam Filter was not installed"

I'm hoping someone can help me out, I am running Plesk 7.6.1, MailEnable Standard 1.983, and SpamAssassin 3.1.1.

However, when I go to Server -> Mail, the Spam Filtering tab is disabled and on the right it says: "Spam Filter is not installed."

I have checked MailEnable and memafilter is enabled in the MTA agent, the Plesk SpamAssassin service is running in Windows. This used to work, is there somewhere else I should be looking?

C:\Program Files\SWsoft\Plesk\admin\bin>Spamassassin_server -i
Unable to retrieve information about server-wide spam filter settings: Component Spam Filter was not installed

Thanks!

Configuration is not correct Plesk 7.6.1 is supports SpamAssassin 2.61.
Please remove SpamAssassin and install one from add/remove programs -Plesk-change -modify

Thanks for your response John, unfortunatly that was the first thing I tried, and for whatever reason it keeps installing SpamAssassin 3.1.1.

After I uninstalled it, I checked in Plesk and it was marked as not installed, and once I re-install it, it re-appears there, but when I can't configure it because Plesk says it's not installed.

Try to follow steps below:
1. Unistall SpamAssassin
2. Use Microsoft cleanup utility and remove any SA configuration you find
3. Rename SpamAssassin folder
4. Install again
