Hello all. Also a newb here.
I have a suse linux box, and bought my host's SA upgrade. Thanks a lot guys, they gave me 2.64. Would like to upgrade it, so i searched around here. Everyone is saying update it with yum. Geez, dont have that. I downloaded the tar.gzip file and took a peek at the INSTALL file where they say use the rpm. so i grabbed the rpm, and ran: rpm -i yum.package.rpm. It runs, but when i run the yum command nothing. When i locate yum nothing new (even after an updatedb). What am i doing wrong?
Also, can i upgrade SA the old way, with source packages?
