• Our team is looking to connect with folks who use email services provided by Plesk, or a premium service. If you'd like to be part of the discovery process and share your experiences, we invite you to complete this short screening survey. If your responses match the persona we are looking for, you'll receive a link to schedule a call at your convenience. We look forward to hearing from you!
  • The BIND DNS server has already been deprecated and removed from Plesk for Windows.
If a Plesk for Windows server is still using BIND, the upgrade to Plesk Obsidian 18.0.70 will be unavailable until the administrator switches the DNS server to Microsoft DNS. We strongly recommend transitioning to Microsoft DNS within the next 6 weeks, before the Plesk 18.0.70 release.
  • The Horde component is removed from Plesk Installer. We recommend switching to another webmail software supported in Plesk.

SpamAssassin

podman99

Basic Pleskian
Would it be possible to update the SpamAssassin integration at some point so that there are two scores.

Hard Score, Delete all messages of this score, if an administrator does not want to use hard scores they can have a default value of 999 (allows everything)
Soft Score, Marks message as Spam or Moves to spam folder, or deletes based on administrators setting.

This would allow us to be more aggressive with spam settings on users mailboxes while not affecting their usage.

Or even better, perhaps something similar to amavis, where spam mails can be stored in the database, perhaps API accessible so that users can have an SQL quarantine (useful for those who use pop rather than IMAP).

i don't know if what you ask is even possible with spamassassin.

but in the meanwhile, you might be interested into looking at your greylisting options. that get's rid of 75% of REAL spam with barely any CPU usage.

True its not really a spam assassin thing, more of an MTA thing.

Mail Comes In
Passes to Spam Assassin
MTA reads response and acts on users wishes
Delivery/Delete/Quarantine ?

So technically not a spam assassin issue or upgrade, but certainly something the plesk Postfix/Qmail addins can deal with?

I will indeed check out grey listing.

Can anyone please confirm if grey listing will ignore users authentication requests, ensuring that legitimate user email does not get caught?
