Question ssh terminal

Jürgen_T

Regular Pleskian
Server operating system version
Ubuntu 22.04.2 LTS
Plesk version and microupdate number
Plesk Obsidian v18.0.53_build1800230619.12 os_Ubuntu 22.04
Where do I find the .bashrc for the ssh-terminal as provided by Plesk? I would like to use the arrow-keys to scroll through the recent commands etc. i.e.

If there is none, where should I save a .bashrc?

I didn't find the reason but found a simple solution. Once I start a ssh-session then I see only a simple $ as prompt. The command bash does the trick. Now the arrow-keys work as expected.

Then your user has a shell that is not bash. You could change that with chsh or by editing /etc/passwd directly, but running another shell might break scripts or cronjobs that rely on the shell being whatever it is now, so be sure to test.
