Resolved SSL not showing for subdomain

Robin Edwards

New Pleskian
I'm having a problem with an SSL certificate not showing up for a subdomain on the Hosting Settings page.

I have a domain with two subdomains set up on my server. Each of the 3 has a SSL certificate:

domain.com (in httpdocs directory) (SSL working)
subdomain1.domain.com (in httpdocs directory) (SSL working)
subdomain2.domain.com (in different directory) (SSL doesn't show up in list on Hosting Settings page)

In the subdomain2 dropdown list I see the following SSL certificates:
domain.com
none

I've installed all 3 certificates under "Server | SSL Certificates".

Can you think of a reason why subdomain2 wouldn't allow me to use the subdomain2 SSL certificate?

Thanks,

Robin

hi, shur you install very well ssl with ssl wildcard *.domain.tld

if lets encrypt you can one by one with automate generated.

and then copying for attribut ip dedicated

I've already bought and installed SSL certificates for these domains though. I'd prefer to use these if possible, rather than having to go through the extra cost of a wildcard certificate.

Does anyone have any ideas as to why the second subdomain won't let me select the SSL certificate.

Hello Robin !

Test this :

Add your SSL cert directly to domain.com ( at the website area of this domain ), if this
not works, than to your subdomain ...

You wrote, that the cert is not showing up, but at your example you wrote :

In the subdomain2 dropdown list I see the following SSL certificates:
domain.com
none

Is the " domain.com " entry not the one you are looking for ?

Hope, this helps ... :)

Hi Martin,

Thanks, adding the SSL cert directly worked :)

For reference:

Adding the SSL certificate through "Server | SSL Certificates" did not work.

Adding the SSL certificate through "Websites & Domains | Secure your sites" worked.

Thanks, for your feedback ... ;)

I think, that
Adding the SSL certificate through "Server | SSL Certificates" did not work.

... is only to secure the PleskPanel and some main settings ...

and
Adding the SSL certificate through "Websites & Domains | Secure your sites" worked.

... is for a "working" domain, it make sense, because for more different domains your need
a "big" ( = very expensive ) wildcard SSL Cert ... :D

Bye, Martin
