Still bouncing messages

i have set mail enable to "discard" all email to unknown addresses - but they are still being bounced.

The sending address receives a "Message Delivery Failure" message.

How can I kill these?

Please help.
~Wayne

The Failed delievery notifications are sent, even if the original message is discarded.

You can configure your MailServer not to generate these Mail Delievery failed notifictions.
If you use the Plesk`s default MailServer, the MailEnable, you should open the MailEnable Administration console on your server, go to MailEnable Management -> Servers -> localhost -> connectors -> SMTP -> Properties -> Delievery tab -> Check the "do not generate non-delievery reports"

Please, note, that this setting will also affect other non-delieverd mails situation, for example when a remote server fails to respond.

Made the switch - but it is still not working...

I made your suggested change:
MailEnable Management -> Servers -> localhost -> connectors -> SMTP -> Properties -> Delievery tab -> Check the "do not generate non-delievery reports"

But, I am still receiving "non-delievery reports" - any other ideas? I received over 140 since I made the change...

Hi!

I apologise, I see now that my instructions were not correct.

Most probably the non-delievery receipt is generated by your SMTP server, not the plesk server.

So, if I send an e-mail from [email protected] to [email protected] (test1. com is a Plesk server, but mailbox [email protected] doesn`t exist), the NDR will be generated by the server test.com!

here is one of the messages:
I have changed my email address so that I won't get spam from this post!

See "[email protected]" is not a valid address on the server nacrealty.com
