Subdomain does not show up in subscription domain but under "Domain" overview

gloverly

New Pleskian
Hello folks,

I have the following problem. A couple of days ago I deleted serveral subdomains from my subscription domain. Let's call the domain "justanexample.net". Within this subscription I deleted two subdomain which had the following names (these are also examples):

test.justanexample.net
subdomain.justanexample.net

The first one was deleted successfully. Also the second one could be deleted successfully. But after restarting the apache webserver, it threw an error like "directory X does not exist". This directory was one of the subscription-subdomain vhost directory. I also looked into my subscription and there was no subdomain at all. "Okay", i thought, just recreate the subdomain within the subscription and after that, just delete it another time. And this is where I stuck. Plesk told me that the subdomain already existed.

Then I tried to delete all I could find called "subdomain.justanexample.net" on my linux system and in the plesk database. This gave me the possibility the recreate the subdomain. But as I looked into my subscription with the domain name "justanexample.net" it again won't show me my subdomain. Then I took a look under the main menu point "Domains" and et voila.... here I could find my subdomain. But as there is no possibility to delete the subdomain (it just redirects me into the subscription where the subdomains lives) I cannot delete it... I also tried to verify that all datasets in the plesk database are valid so that no dataset is missing. Therefore I compared a fully working subdomain with my "broken" one.... I cannot find any differences.

My plesk version is the 12.0.18 Update #7 and the running system is an Ubuntu 10.04.4 LTS. Hope you understand my issue and could with it out what's wrong with it.

Thank you!

What sort of error messages do you have after running following command:

# /usr/local/psa/bin/subdomain -r <subdomain_name>

?

Hello IgorG, and thanks for you quick reply. After executing the command above I only receive the following message:

SUCCESS: Removal of 'subdomain.justandexample.net' completed..

Also, the subdomain neighter is listed in the "Domains" overview nor in the subscription-domain now. But: after readding the same subdomain again it will just be listed under "Domains" but not in the subscription-domain. Your command is a good way to remove the subdomain at all, but doesn't fix the problem completely.

Anything else I can do for you to help finding the issue?

//// EDIT ////

Okay, so I've just recognized the following thing which confuses me: the mentioned subdomain was listed inside the "Domains" overview but not under the subscription domain. So i tried to add a completely new subdomain which my plesk didn't know before. After creating that subdomain it also was not listed under my domain-subscription.

I currently have the "Service Provider" view active so maybe that's a point worth to be mentioned. I also have the "classic list" activated in the service provider view which is easier for me to know which domains have subdomains and so on. I now switched from the "classic list" to the "active list"... scrolled down and then I saw a label which gave me the ability to load not displayed domains:

There are 5 domains to show. Load all or switch to Classic List

I clicked on that "Load all" link, waited for the list to load completely and then switched back to the classic list. After these steps the mentioned subdomain and also the new one were listed inside my subscription-domain. So maybe it's not an issue with some inconsistent data but with the display-mechanism for the "classic list" and "active list". So maybe that will help?!
