subdomain pointing to domain instead

I created a subdomain called demo(demo.domain.com) and didn't replace any of default placeholder pages, in either hhtpdocs or httpsdocs folders.

When I go to http://demo.domain.com, I get the default placeholder page, but whenever I use https://demo.domain.com, then the primary domain web site opens up, even though there are no web files for the site in any of the subdomain folders.

I do have an SSL cert for the primary domain (www.domain.com), but Enable shared SSL is not enabled under subdomains (although it is at the domain level - Require SSL is not checked).

Also, I did not create any redirects to point the sub to the main domain.

I actually have 2 subdomains, and am having the same issue with both.

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks...
