Switching to mod_php in subdirectory

Hey there,

is it possible to switch to mod_php in a subdirectory of a Domain via .htaccess?

Problem: The main website is running via fastcgi but an old custom script needs mod_php. I've tried something, but my browser only download the files (.php3).
