Temporary Shell Access Specific Folder

I would like to give the author of one of my software applications, temporary shell access, but restricted to a particular folder under one account.

For example:

/var/www/vhosts/mydomain.com/httpdocs/os

I want the shell to be restricted to the os directory.

Any ideas on how to do this?
