• Debian 11 is approaching its end-of-life (vendor EOL date - August 31, 2026). Plesk Obsidian 18.0.80 will be the last release to support it.
If you are running Plesk Obsidian on Debian 11, we recommend you upgrade those servers to Debian 12 using our dist-upgrade tool.
  • We plan to deprecate and remove the support for XML RPC protocol versions earlier than 1.6.9.1 in Plesk Obsidian 18.0.82. We strongly recommend that you update all existing integrations using earlier versions of the XML RPC protocol to comply with the version 1.6.9.1 specification.

Tomcat java ROOT.war

Hi,

Does any one know if it's possible to run a Tomcat webapp in the root of a site? (Running Windows Plesk 8.2)

I contacted SwSoft support and they said it's not possible.

ie. sample.war will install to www.domain.com/sample

Instead of sample.war I want it to be ROOT.war reachable via:

www.domain.com

Anyone know of a work around for this?

Thanks,
jacko

If you are the Windows Administrator, you need an addon tool called,NGASI AppServer Manager (http://www.ngasi.com)
which enables private jvm java hosting
with Plesk, and allows you to serve the application from a
root URL (www.domain.com)

Hi johnyqqq,

Thanks for the reply and the suggestion. I will give it a go next time, as, they have now gone for a server without Plesk in this case.

Thanks again.

Regards,
Jacko
