forgive my ignorance. I'm not sure what that is. Where are yum repos and how can I do this?

i must not be in the right place. do i run these vis SSH on the server? I am using Terminal and connecting via SSH as root user. is there a specifc directory i need to be in?

yeah, you run in SSH. It shouldnt matter what directory you are in since it has full paths.

thats odd it doesnt work for you, it works on my centos4 and rhel4 servers.

Basically all it does is go into /etc/yum.repos.d directory and then echos the file name and then echos the contents of the files in the directory.

output should be something like this:

i ran the autoinstaller update from the Swsoft site and it got me upgraded to 8.2.1.

I think the update error through Plesk might have had something to do with the update going to files on my web host to use for updating?

Thats why I was asking for your yum repos, that is where yum goes to check for updates, and if your not looking in the right places it could be bad.
