Unable to generate the web server configuration file

did you made a restart of the webserver? Sometimes the new config hasn't been loaded.

Sorry, but do you mean restart the webserver or restart the VPS?

Only the webserver (httpd).

That didn't work.
Still got problems with strange forwarding and also with permission with a fresh installation of Wordprees.
