I’m experiencing an issue with the Web Application Firewall (ModSecurity) after purchasing the Atomic license. When attempting to enable the WAF using the “Atomic Advanced (bought from Plesk)” ruleset, I receive the following error:
Failed to install the ModSecurity rule set: modsecurity_ctl failed:
Failed to download ruleset from atomic. The ruleset archive '/etc/httpd/conf/modsecurity.d/rules/tortix_rule_set.tar.gz' can't be unpacked successfully.
I’ve already tried:
- Reinstalling ModSecurity via Tools & Settings → Updates and Upgrades → Add/Remove Components.
- Manually downloading the tortix_rule_set.tar.gz from Atomic’s update server and placing it in /etc/httpd/conf/modsecurity.d/rules/.
- Restarting the firewall setup in Plesk, but the same error persists .
Any hints what i can do to get this working or what my problem is?
