Unclear version display in update manager

Hi folks,

I'm using Plesk 9.5.4 on Ubuntu 8.04 LTS. I want to run all available updates on this server, preparing it for the upcoming Apache update. Not quite sure how to go on from here. I'm in Home -> Help & Support -> Updates -> Parallels Plesk Panel 9.5.4. As you can see on the attached screenshot, it says there is an update for the Plesk Base package. That the available version is 9.5.4 and the *installed* version is 10.11. Again: I have 9.5.4 installed and I'm in the 9.5.4 update screen.

My question: Is it safe to run this update, although the installed version information is wrong? We cannot afford any downtime on this system.
Also: Is it just as safe to run the updates through apt-get?

Thanks a lot for your advise,
