Unexpected server behaviour - import from 4.5

I'm having a similar problem from another old thread I read but didn't want to post to a thread that was almost a year old so I started a new one.

I'm trying to import sites from SB 4.5 and get the following error.

[EMERG] [System] /sitebuilder/JsonApi/ Zend_Dom_Exception: Cannot query; no document registered
file: /usr/local/psa/admin/plib/Zend/Dom/Query.php
line: 239

line 239 of Query.php is..... throw new Zend_Dom_Exception('Cannot query; no document registered');

I read this post and tried the patch but it gave me another error.

One of my sites has transferred fine but all the others give me the above error.

Can anyone help?

Could you provide examples of SB 4.5 websites you're trying to import, so we can check?
