Update Perl and Python with Yum CentOS 4 Plesk 8.1.1

Dumb question does Plesk update Python and Perl or do I need to use Yum myself?

If I have to do it myself is it something like "yum update python" or something?

just run "yum update", plesk uses the packages distributed by the vendor.

what would be the yum command to update Perl?

"yum check-update" would give a list of everything that needs updating.

"yum update perl*" would update everything that starts with the string "perl"
