• The BIND DNS server has already been deprecated and removed from Plesk for Windows.
    If a Plesk for Windows server is still using BIND, the upgrade to Plesk Obsidian 18.0.70 will be unavailable until the administrator switches the DNS server to Microsoft DNS. We strongly recommend transitioning to Microsoft DNS within the next 6 weeks, before the Plesk 18.0.70 release.
  • The Horde component is removed from Plesk Installer. We recommend switching to another webmail software supported in Plesk.

Update Problem with Dr.Web

Good day everybody,
i've got a problem right here.

but first of all:
i'm using plesk panel 9.3.0 build 93091230.07 on a debian etch with kernel Linux 2.6.18-6-686-bigmem. this machine is just a virtual machine on an microsoft hyper-v server. worked all good until 6 weeks ago.

dr.web sends me every 30 minutes two emails. in each email there is the line:

ERROR: Dr.Web (R) Updater: close_xs is not a valid Sys::Syslog macro at /opt/drweb/update.pl line 1047 !

maybe anyone of you knows this problem. i'm on this now for about 6 weeks and still have no workaround for this.

regards,

philip

still the same error. do you have other suggestions?

yes, i also reinstalled it.

here some things i did:
- reinstalled perl
- reinstalled Sys::Syslog
- reinstalled Dr.Web
- reconfigured Dr.Web
- reconfigured CPAN

just to mention some.

Hmm... Not sure that you should perform these custom configuration. Most probably it is a reason of initial problem. It should work with default Plesk installation.

it worked with the plesk default config once. but a few weeks ago dr.web started with these mails.
seems like something's messed up there.

Seems it is related to your perl customization. Therefore I can suggest you contact support team if it is really important for you.

i already tried that, but always got an email

--- REQUEST IS NOT COMPLETE

everytime i wanted to start a ticket :)
maybe you can help me

Do you mean support ticket? I'm not sure but seems some fields in form were not correctly filled :)

Have also been getting these emails 2 times every day, drweb update.

Updating from 9.2.1 to 9.3 was easy with the autoinstall via ssh, the Plesk installer had problems.

Was getting around 50 blank emails every hour, this problem is fixed (I hope). Can't fix this drweb update email / failed.

very strange. all marked fields were filled.
and they were filled with the right information.
just tried it again, same error. maybe there is just an error in your support ticket system? :)

I have submitted test ticket right now without any problems. Seems you have not filled all fields properly.
