Resolved Update/Upgrade kernel on CentOs 7 / Plesk 17.x

Feyornowa

New Pleskian
Good day,

There are 2 paying extensions on Plesk 17 : KernelCare and Virtuozzo Kernel... .
I can upgrade the kernel myself via ElRepo.

Current version is 3.1 and could be upgraded to 4.3.

I would like to know if i can update/upgrade the kernel of my server without getting bugs in Plesk 17 ?
I know sometimes just using "yum update" will make Plesk in trouble.

Does some people did an upgrade yet ?
All ok in Plesk ?

Thanks in advance for your answer.

Hi Feyornowa,

Yes.

This can only happen, if you use non-supported repositories. It is wise to disable additional repos, before you use "yum update" to avoid issues/errors/problems with Plesk components and extensions. ;)

Yes, I did... on several CentOS 6 and 7 servers. No problems with standart ( supported ) repos.
