• Debian 11 is approaching its end-of-life (vendor EOL date - August 31, 2026). Plesk Obsidian 18.0.80 will be the last release to support it.
If you are running Plesk Obsidian on Debian 11, we recommend you upgrade those servers to Debian 12 using our dist-upgrade tool.
  • We plan to deprecate and remove the support for XML RPC protocol versions earlier than 1.6.9.1 in Plesk Obsidian 18.0.82. We strongly recommend that you update all existing integrations using earlier versions of the XML RPC protocol to comply with the version 1.6.9.1 specification.

Hey peeps,

I'm trying to (unsuccesfully) upgrade from 7.5.4 to 8.0, like so many of us here.

Everything appears to be succesful (done from command line) however i get the mysql error about tables not existing, that should now exist in v8.0.

Updon digging around, in /usr/local/psa/etc there is the sql upgrade files. Is anyone else able to confirm that these sql upgrade files contain errors? ive rolled back to 7.5.4 from backup, deleted these files, but when they are re-downloaded, they still contain errors.

ERROR 1064 at line 2: You have an error in your SQL syntax near 'CHARACTER SET utf8 COLLATE utf8_general_ci DEFAULT ''

, uri VARCHA' at line 4

If i'm doing something stupid, then i sincerely apologise for wasting anyones times, but this is the only reason i can see for my upgrade failing atm!

Thanks,
Jon
