Upgrade Error (SBPreviewHost)

Hi all

I have pulled nearly all my hair out on this one

Downloaded and installed plesk 7.6 and then downloaded the 8.1 web installer to upgrade...

Installation goes well till the "Upgrading Sitebuilder for windows" step and brings up an error:

Error 1923. Service 'SiteBuilder for Windows Hosting Service' (SBPreviewHost) could not be installed. Verify that you have sufficient privileges to install system services.

Tried adding the plesk user to administrator group, tried disabling windows defender, tried first stopping the sitebuilder service all gives the same error...

Did you get any kind of a solution for the upgrade error you were getting, since I am on the same boat right now

Hiya

Unfortunately not, i tried again, server rebooted and never came back online

Long story short, requested a manual reboot, isp said that the server freezes after the ctl alt delete login screen!

OS reload, told isp to install plesk like they were supposed to in the first place, they got the same error, but sorted it out with their support at plesk i assume. Not sure what the solution was soz
