Upgrade from 7.5.6 and 7.6

Hi ive been told by our provider that its not possible to easily and or safely upgrade older versions of Plesk to the latest version.

is this correct if not is there documentation available that explains how to do it and also what to look out for

Unfortunately it is true for Plesk 7.6 but you can use online Installation Guide of Plesk 8.1 because it is the same.
