• Please be aware: Kaspersky Anti-Virus has been deprecated
With the upgrade to Plesk Obsidian 18.0.64, "Kaspersky Anti-Virus for Servers" will be automatically removed from the servers it is installed on. We recommend that you migrate to Sophos Anti-Virus for Servers.
  • The Horde webmail has been deprecated. Its complete removal is scheduled for April 2025. For details and recommended actions, see the Feature and Deprecation Plan.
  • We’re working on enhancing the Monitoring feature in Plesk, and we could really use your expertise! If you’re open to sharing your experiences with server and website monitoring or providing feedback, we’d love to have a one-hour online meeting with you.

Hi all,

Can I upgrade my Centos/Redhat Plesk Panel to 5.2? Any suggested method to do it? If I complie from source, what configuration options need to include in order to maintain the Plesk Panel is running?

THanks!

Hi,

I have following the link to perform "yum upgrade" on my fresh install CentOS5 and Plesk 9.3.
After upgrade and reboot, the plesk panel can not start

[root@plesk2 ~]# /etc/init.d/psa start
Starting xinetd service... done
Starting named service... failed
Starting mysqld service... failed
Starting postgresql service... failed
Starting psa-spamassassin service... not installed
Plesk: Starting Mail Server... already started
Starting mail handlers tmpfs storage
Starting Plesk... failed
Starting drwebd service... not installed

My new CentOS kernel is 2.6.18-164.15.1.el5PAE

I read the upgrade process on http://www.atomicorp.com/wiki/index.php/PHP and tested it on a CentOS build. I am running RHEL on my Plesk box (I need to build a test endvironment with RHEL4). The step I am a little concerned about is step 2 - 'yum upgrade'. RHEL does not have yum but rather uses up2date. Do I use the same command with up2date? Example would be 'up2date update' or 'up2date php'?

I don't want to make any mistakes. Advice is welcome.

Thank you.
