Question Upgrade Plesk 12x to 12.5

railroadguy

New Pleskian
We are running Plesk 12.0 We also have a few site running PHP 5.3 because of older software. If we update to 12.5 will those domains still stay with 5.3 or will Plesk completely update everything. My thought was everything would stay as it is now but simply update Plesk itself.

Anyway, on Plesk 12.5 you can use PHP 5.3 from OS vendor or PHP 5.3 from Plesk:

# plesk version
Product version: 12.5.30 Update #71
Update date: 2017/11/02 03:38
Build date: 2016/06/08 09:00
OS version: CentOS 6.7
Revision: 344620
Architecture: 32-bit
Wrapper version: 1.2

Even PHP does not support 5.3 version PHP: Supported Versions
You can use PHP5.3 on Plesk Onyx 17.8 if it is not installed on Ubuntu 18 or Debian 9. Just enable it in Plesk installer for installation and then choose it for your domain in php settings.
