  • The Horde component is removed from Plesk Installer. We recommend switching to another webmail software supported in Plesk.
  • The BIND DNS server has already been deprecated and removed from Plesk for Windows.
If a Plesk for Windows server is still using BIND, the upgrade to Plesk Obsidian 18.0.70 will be unavailable until the administrator switches the DNS server to Microsoft DNS. We strongly recommend transitioning to Microsoft DNS within the next 6 weeks, before the Plesk 18.0.70 release.

Upgrade process hung when upgrading to 9.5.1

4 days ago (on the 29th of November) I upgraded to 9.5.1. A few minutes later, I got an email saying upgrade was successful. As per usual, I ignore that email and wait for the second email (whenever I do a Plesk upgrade from the Plesk Panel, I always get two emails- the first straight after I hit upgrade, and the second, sometime later when it has obviously finished upgrading). However, the second email never came. It has been 4 days, and if I go into the Plesk Update panel, I get the following-

Warning: Installation is in progress.
Error: Installer is busy.

Is there a way I can restart the upgrade, or kill the current upgrade?

Thanks,
Jarrod.

Upgrade processes can be found with ps command and killed with kill command. But I'm afraid that consequences will be unpredictable.

Along with Plesk updater not working, neither was YUM or Apt-Get. So...

I killed all processes relating to the Plesk Autoinstaller & Yum, deleted the lock files in /var/log/rpm/__db*, backed up /var/log/rpm, and ran rpm --rebuilddb. Probably risky, but all fixed now.
