• The APS Catalog has been deprecated and removed from all Plesk Obsidian versions.
Applications already installed from the APS Catalog will continue working. However, Plesk will no longer provide support for APS applications.
  • Please be aware: with the Plesk Obsidian 18.0.78 release, the support for the ngx_pagespeed.so module will be deprecated and removed from the sw-nginx package.

Hey all..
I'm still running Plesk 7.6.1 for windows and am pretty happy with it...but I'm now thinkin of upgrading to the latest version....so questions abound!

Can I go directly from 7.6.1 to 8.3?

Is 8.3 "stable" from a user standpoint? Comments here fellas?

Is the upgrade shown by using the Automatic Upgrade function "worthwhile" ie does it run fine? Problem areas? Any caveats at all?

Once done, do things like perms and emails etc etc. remain THE SAME? ie do you have to hand-tune anything after the upgrade?

Is there stilll a Plesk Reconfigurator function to make things "work" again? Is it necessary to run same after the upgrade?

Lastly, I suppose, are all here "okay" with the new 8.3....

Hi,

Yes, such upgrade is supported, here is the note from our website:

IMPORTANT: Plesk 8.3 for Windows is for clean servers only and updating existing Plesk 7.6, 8.1 or 8.2 for Windows installations. If you need to upgrade existing Plesk 6.5, 7.0 or 7.5 for Windows you should upgrade your installation to Plesk 7.5.6+ and then to Plesk 7.6.1 before upgrading to Plesk 8.3.

You need to download installer and run it:

Also i suggest to take a look into release notes.
