• Debian 11 is approaching its end-of-life (vendor EOL date - August 31, 2026). Plesk Obsidian 18.0.80 will be the last release to support it.
If you are running Plesk Obsidian on Debian 11, we recommend you upgrade those servers to Debian 12 using our dist-upgrade tool.
  • We plan to deprecate and remove the support for XML RPC protocol versions earlier than 1.6.9.1 in Plesk Obsidian 18.0.82. We strongly recommend that you update all existing integrations using earlier versions of the XML RPC protocol to comply with the version 1.6.9.1 specification.

upgrading of Plesk under FreeBSD

Did anyone try to install/upgrade Plesk 8.1 for FreeBSD?
I have two servers under FreeBSD 6.0 with Plesk 8.0.1, but before attempting to upgrade ones I'd like to hear about at least one successful upgrade.

I have a dev. server I'm more than willing to blow away in an attempted to upgrade but it does not show up under "Updater". Should I be more patient or will this have to be a manual upgrade?

yes , i can install in FreeBSD 6.1

yes, i can install on freebsd 6.1 but seem php doesn't installed on my freebsd 6.1 server ... why i dosen't see about many component ? .. ( i just try to install with ports)

I've started to upgrade one of my servers.
I see that installation procedure compiles several ports from sources ... it looks not so good for me, because it's not good to have compiler on the production server, but ... but it's a freebsd ports mechanism. it's would be nice to have precompiled packages.

I dont see 8.1 in the updater either
says 8.0.1 is up to date

hm ... I've don't try to use updater in GUI, I just download new psa_installer and ran it.

p.s.
apropos, I've finished upgrading to Plesk 8.1 via ports.
I can see it's for natural freebsd funs :) because I've got all the quirks of ports during the installation.
Also I played with a fresh installation of Plesk 8.1 under FreeBSD 6.1 and I'm very disapointed with fact that php 5.2.0 is installed, but on the hosting page it is not available.

I've got! :)
For fixing of this issue you need to go on the page in Plesk CP Server->Component Info and click Refresh button, or go to the command line and execute /usr/local/psa/admin/sbin/packagemng

seems like this tool was not executed after plesk installation.
