  • The Horde component is removed from Plesk Installer. We recommend switching to another webmail software supported in Plesk.
  • The BIND DNS server has already been deprecated and removed from Plesk for Windows.
If a Plesk for Windows server is still using BIND, the upgrade to Plesk Obsidian 18.0.70 will be unavailable until the administrator switches the DNS server to Microsoft DNS. We strongly recommend transitioning to Microsoft DNS within the next 6 weeks, before the Plesk 18.0.70 release.

Upgrading Plesk...

New Pleskian
Hi,

I am running Plesk 7.5.4 and I have realised that I need to upgrade to the later version.

The latest version I can upgrade is 8.4 but before I proceed I want to make sure it will work.

Is it safe to upgrade from 7.5.4 to 8.4?

Will Mysql be ported ok?

I am worrying because there are many websites running on my server.

Thanks..

Hello,

Do you have Plesk on FreeBSD installed? If yes, please, review the acticles specific for Plesk on FreeBSD upgrade:

Actually, it is not recommended to upgarde Plesk 7.5.4 to 8.x versions on FreeBSD; it is better to prepare a new server with one of supported FreeBSD versions installed (http://www.parallels.com/products/plesk84/reqs/) , install the needed Plesk version and perform data migration from the old server.
