URGENT - reconfigurator question.

I accidentally burned all the persmissions in the home directory. I just heard of this reconfigurator tool. How do I use it and will it repair the permissions to those directories??

Thanks in advance!

I am not aware of this tool, the reconfigurator simply changes IPs. It's possible with a custom script to restore the permissions using the preferences stored in the database, but such a script does not exist in Plesk installation.

Both the threads you mention are for the Windows version of Plesk.

Things may have changed but, for the Linux version, the last time I used this tool all it did was allow me to change the IP addresses associated with domains and nothing more I'm afraid.

I very much hope I'm wrong.

In any case, to use it you just need to run it

First find out where it is:

locate reconfigurator

Then run it (I'm assuming it is .sh but I may be wrong):

sh /path/to/reconfigurator.sh

It should tell you that it needs to make some files which you then need to edit (to change Ips).

After that, I don't honestly know. I'm sorry not to be able to be of any more help.

Faris.
