View passwords

New Pleskian
Hi guys
Have a new VPS. Plesk (v12) is new to me too.

When setting up webspaces, I have to take note of admin passwords. There doesn't seem to be a way within Plesk to view the passwords I have already setup.

IE I can only reset them - not view passwords I have already set.
Thanks

Hi edenweb,

the passwords are stored with encryption in the psa - database, as you can see with:

mysql -uadmin -p`cat /etc/psa/.psa.shadow` psa

followed by the SQL search in MySQL:
Code:
SELECT accounts.id, mail.mail_name, accounts.password, domains.name FROM domains LEFT JOIN mail ON domains.id = mail.dom_id LEFT JOIN accounts ON mail.account_id = accounts.id;

for a request to only one specific domain, you might use the command:
Code:
SELECT accounts.id, mail.mail_name, accounts.password, domains.name FROM domains LEFT JOIN mail ON domains.id = mail.dom_id LEFT JOIN accounts ON mail.account_id = accounts.id where domains.name='EXAMPLE-DOMAIN.COM';
