virtuozzo and plesk access

New Pleskian
Hello everybody

First of all sorry for my mistakes i am french ;-) I am web designer/integrator, but a rookie in virtual server and webmastering. I've had the luck (or not^^) to build a website on a 1&1 virtual server. With this offer you have a free domain name, but my client already had one with another registrar so we ve kept this one free. With plesk no problem i have configured the domain and install an cms on it.

On 1&1 panel i had just a defaut domain name.

Yesterday we decided to add another domain name and to used the one delivered with the 1&1 package. Few hours after, i was not able to access plesk or websites thrue http. I thaught it was due to dns propagation, but after 24hours the problem is still remaining. I can connect thrue sftp, ssh and virtuozzo. I tried to restart the slot but no changes. I noticed that httpd is disabled and not able to get it work; same for psa. I try to modify it thrue virtuozzo and ssh.

For httpd it say : Cannot start/stop/restart service: Starting httpd: (2)No such file or directory: httpd: could not open error log file /etc/httpd/logs/error_log.
Unable to open logs.

For psa: Cannot start/stop/restart service: service "psa" status is not "running" after command "start"

I visited in sftp but the logs folder and error log file are missing. I think i have an issue due to httpd and psa are off but your experience and knowledge are more than welcome. I don't want to re initialise the slot completly because i add lots of things on my cms.

I hope i was enaugh clear with my eplanations
THanks you for reading

Have you tried to create thse missing log files and directories?
Also you can try repair your Plesk with bootstrapper repair procedure (use kb and forum search for details).

Hello Igor and thank you for your answer.

In fact, the /etc/httpd/logs folder appear as a shortcut (http://imageshack.us/photo/my-images/849/snapcv.jpg/) but don't go anywhere. I must creat the landing directory somewhere but i don't know where exactly.

Yesterday i install again Plesk thrue ssh, all the procedure was done completly but in virtuozzo i have the same prob: not able to open httpd and psa services.

Do you think if i use a incrementiel backup from virtuozzo, it will keep safe my files(cms) and databases (creates thrue plesk)? this point is very important.Do you think this action could solve the problem?

Thanks you
