Issue VPS server crashes after uploading files in WooCommerce

maciles

New Pleskian
Help me. VPS server PLESK OBSIDIAN v. 18.0.39 / Debian 10.11 / OVH

Nothing was changed in the apache or php configuration. After uploading one or more files using woocommerce the server is down.

You can log into plesk. But no domains parked on the server are running. Resetting does not help. Everything is usually checked to normal after about an hour.

Please check the error log and access log of the website for error code 403 and ModSecurity messages. It is possible that the upload is offending a ModSecurity rule. This again can trigger the Fail2Ban ModSecurity jail that blocks your IP (the IP of the uploader). It is very unlikely that the whole server is down, it is much more likely that your own IP is blocked for some violation. Also check for directory access permission violations. This has the same effect, though it look slightly different in the error log.

Your server seems to come back online after an hour, because obviously the jail time of the Fail2Ban jails that is blocking your ip is set to an hour for first time offenders.
