web browser shows contents of /var/www

I just purchased a dedicated server through ServerPronto, with Debian and Plesk 7.5.4.

If I point a browser to any of the IPs I get a file listing of /var/www. I get the same thing if I point it to www.bugmonkey.net

Plesk shows that Apache is not started.
ftp doesn't even work.

They say this is a plesk issue and they wont support me. Did they screw me over?
Any one know how I fix this?

If it's a new server which they setup and installed, then I would say they did screw you. New server and 'they won't support you', find a new provider.

To try and fix it, I would first try re-installing Plesk either from the RPM file or installer script (downloadable at Plesk site)
