  • The BIND DNS server has already been deprecated and removed from Plesk for Windows.
If a Plesk for Windows server is still using BIND, the upgrade to Plesk Obsidian 18.0.70 will be unavailable until the administrator switches the DNS server to Microsoft DNS. We strongly recommend transitioning to Microsoft DNS within the next 6 weeks, before the Plesk 18.0.70 release.
  • The Horde component is removed from Plesk Installer. We recommend switching to another webmail software supported in Plesk.

Where is my root mysql password?

bestAdmin

Basic Pleskian
Hi, i have installed phpMyAdmin becouse I don't like the limitation of db management of Plesk, but I can't find the root password to access in it. I read that Plesk rename "root" user in "admin", but I can't find the password. Where is it?

Hi bestAdmin,

do you have access to the mysql database server through Plesk Panel?
If yes, you could use the phpMyAdmin to check what's going wrong.

Maybe the admin-access has been limited to machines or something else?

Yes, I can access to phpMyAdmin through Plesk Panel (admin user). But now I have two phpMyAdmin installed, the first is the default installation (by Plesk), the second is my custom installation access by https://myip/phpMyadmin, and I can't access with admin user in my custom installation. Probably is not the best configuration, but I need to dispose phpMyAdmin to my customers without access to Plesk.
