  • The BIND DNS server has already been deprecated and removed from Plesk for Windows.
If a Plesk for Windows server is still using BIND, the upgrade to Plesk Obsidian 18.0.70 will be unavailable until the administrator switches the DNS server to Microsoft DNS. We strongly recommend transitioning to Microsoft DNS within the next 6 weeks, before the Plesk 18.0.70 release.
  • The Horde component is removed from Plesk Installer. We recommend switching to another webmail software supported in Plesk.

Question WordPress - Server Error 403 Forbidden ([access_compat:error] [access_compat:error]

zwankie

Basic Pleskian
Has anyone come across this error with WordPress on Plesk before?

The client site worked for many months now suddenly they are not able to login to /wp-admin as it gives this error:

[access_compat:error] [pid 169903:tid 139687964436224] [client 172.68.146.37:0] AH01797: client denied by server configuration: /var/www/vhosts/example.com/httpdocs/wp-login.php

There are other errors too like

access_compat:error] [pid 169721:tid 139686966195968] [client 141.101.96.229:0] AH01797: client denied by server configuration: /var/www/vhosts/example.com/httpdocs/xmlrpc.php

The normal public part of the website seems to work, it's just not allowing any access to /wp-admin etc.

Are entries in .htaccess prohibiting access? Has a security plugin been installed that changes accessibility?
