• Please be aware: Kaspersky Anti-Virus has been deprecated
With the upgrade to Plesk Obsidian 18.0.64, "Kaspersky Anti-Virus for Servers" will be automatically removed from the servers it is installed on. We recommend that you migrate to Sophos Anti-Virus for Servers.
  • The Horde webmail has been deprecated. Its complete removal is scheduled for April 2025. For details and recommended actions, see the Feature and Deprecation Plan.

Question Workaround to modify the time-to-expire for password reset links(specifically email account passwords), up from 24hrs.

Is it possible to modify the time to expire for password reset links(specifically email account passwords)? Currently it is 24hours to expire for all password reset links in Plesk, but I have a customer who would like to create new mail accounts, and have them take even a few days to expire. Otherwise, is it possible to have an initial one time password (for mail accounts) that would have to be changed with first login? Any ideas, or alternatives for onboarding multiple users in an efficient way, would be appreciated.

Unfortunately there are no such settings. For security reasons, the lifetime of the link is limited to 24 hours.

@klisle, there are currently no options for a one time password or to extend the password reset expire time. However, depending on you programing skills you could utilize the Plesk REST API or the more comprehensive XML API for creating your own (temporary) page for letting your users set their own password. That way you have full control over the onboarding process.
