Resolved Yum Exception: Failed to solve dependencies

After migrating to a new hardware node plesk 12 now can't yum update.

you could use:

yum clean all
yum remove epel-release
yum install epel-release

yum install php-pecl-radius

Pls. consider to disable THIRD-PARTY repos ( or use "priority scores" => https://wiki.centos.org/PackageManagement/Yum/Priorities ) , to avoid such issues, if you would like to install PHP - extensions from your vendor and consider to provide MORE informations about your used operating system for example, so that people willing to help you don't have to guess, which solution/suggestion might help you to solve your issue/error/problem.

I'm not sure what you mean by NON-plesk-related, if this is not plesk related I don't know what is..!

Ok, its a Virtuozzo Container running PLESK17 on CentOS 6 (it was PLESK 12 but somewhere in the process it got updated to 17) and is attached to OBAS 4.5.6-3.
It was all working fine, then we migrated it to a new virtuozzo hardware node running version 6.

Migration went ok no reported problems, but when in PLESK and running component update we get this error..

I'm not sure what you mean by NON-plesk-related, if this is not plesk related I don't know what is..!

Your package manager "yum" is not at all shipped by Plesk and it's not a Plesk component... it's a system package for your operating system. In addition, the same goes for the PHP - extension "php-pecl-radius", which is as well a non-Plesk-package.


Consider to inform us about the output from:

rpm -qa php\* yum\* | sort

Often enough, the output from your command line helps to investigate issues/errors/problems, so it might be a good idea to post the used commands and the corresponding output from your command line ( hint: it might be a good idea to use forum options as for example "Insert", where you are able to insert "QUOTE" and/or "CODE", which makes it far easier for forum users to watch at log - entries, configuration files, outputs from a command line, ... ), just as you did it for your used Plesk command.


Did you as well consider to REMOVE the PHP - package "php-pecl-radius", try the Plesk update/upgrade again and re-install "php-pecl-radius" afterwards?

I have removed php-pecl-radius and then run yum update again which worked ok, thanks for that.

You could try using --skip-broken to work around the problem
You could try running: rpm -Va --nofiles --nodigest

Pls. note, that you installed the PHP - version from atomic and try to install an additional PHP extension from epel for an epel - PHP - version. A PHP extension is only compiled for the depending version and not compatible with other ones.
