Zend Optimizer

Hi to everyone here!

I just need help to install zend optimizer with a simple walk through and instructions.
Here's the scoop:
Dedicated server running
Plesk version psa v8.0.1_build80060928.14 os_FedoraCore 4
Operating system Linux 2.6.17-1.2142_FC4smp
PHP 5.0.4
Apache 2.0.54
I am using PuTTY / SSH

If anyone can help me with a detailed walk through in commands, including how to log-in as root, I will greatly appreciate it, and if I can be of any help 2 U in my field, I will gladly provide.

Hello,

You need to download the optimizer from zend.com
Please check your server first if it is 64 bit or i386. Download the right package.

Untar the package :

tar xzvf packagename.tar.gz
cd packagename
./install

Follow the steps in there.

All set and zend is installed.

You may have problems with ioncube as it must preceed the zend entries in php configuration.

Thanks a lot for your answer, everything went well on the install of the zend rpm and the ioncube, but as you predicted, I still cannot de-encrypt (lol, I don't know how you say the word that describe the opposite act of encrypting), may be decode, the software.
I keep getting the message "if you're the admin of this site please download the latest version of ioncube".
It's getting on my nerves a little, I have 2 admit.
I don't know if you're familiar with I-RATER???
But...
I'll get there eventually...
