If you are still using CentOS 7.9, it's time to convert to Alma 8 with the free centos2alma tool by Plesk or Plesk Migrator. Please let us know your experiences or concerns in this thread: CentOS2Alma discussion
I did some research on this - and what you say is very true. Many people are struggling with that fact.
One jury-rigged way of doing it would be to install DropBox on the server and have a backups folder synced and each client's backups would then be shareable with the client's DropBox...
As we are moving towards Cloud solutions - wouldn't it be nice if PLESK offered to backup accounts to the cloud? FTP is fine for the pros and us server maintainers -- but for our clients -- if they could one click snapshot their site (and/or e-mail) to their own DropBox - this would be awesome...
It seems that setting validity period to never expire does not transfer to all accounts when syncing to a plan that doesn't expire.
Is this a bug? If not, this should be documented under the validity option 'Validity Periods do not sync with Plan'
Exactly!
Yes, that's exactly what my thoughts were! It would be a VERY useful feature to allow administrators to provide better customer support!!! It would also need to be available at the Reseller level so that resellers can provide this service.
No, Administration Area to Send Password Resets!
As PLESK 11's password encryption is optional and I have chosen it, it is quite obvious that I understand it and fully support it and will advise that EVERYONE running PLESK choose this essential (and irreversible!) option.
Regardless of how...
With PLESK 11's encryption of passwords, it will be harder to help clients with lost passwords.
It would be advisable to add a MASTER password reset feature wherein an administrator can send off password reset e-mails for mail, ftp, control panel access, etc. I'm not even sure that clients...
Plesk 11 ftw!
Don't even suggest for someone to start their journey with PLESK 9/10! The security improvements in PLESK 11 and general improvements across the board provide the perfect starting point.
If you don't want to pay for the license fee in one go and have to pay for SUS, get a...
I wish I could help. I never resolved this issue. I am now on a new dedicated server with freshly installed software and no problems. This issue was extremely irritating and I hope that you find a solution. Only suggestion I have is to be sure to update to the latest versions.
I'm so sorry, I took the loser way out of this one.
My server passed the 12 month subscription point, so I migrated everything to another and took advantage of a 3-month free deal and having a bug free plesk install.
I am mad that I could never fix this -- it was a VERY irritating problem...
Hello toomanylogins,
I can sympathize - ART's RPMs are made for the choir -- there aren't really directions on how to use, but there are plenty of good discussions in the forums.
Here's how you can get it going.
Assuming that you can login via SSH as root --
cd /root
wget...
There is no solution. The guys from PLESK logged into my box and fixed it.
What I can suggest though is trying the replacement file:
/usr/local/psa/admin/plib/skin/Skin.php
http://www.antiochwebhost.com/Skin.zip
Awesome! I don't mind installing via RPM as I've done this many times before to either force things to fix themselves up (or just run the bootloader)
The error (again):
2011-06-21 03:38:35: (mod_fastcgi.c.2588) FastCGI-stderr: PHP Fatal error: Call to a member function getParam() on a...
Sergey - I cannot download preview 3. The only means I have to get it is using the autoinstaller. I do not have another box and honestly, the only thing preventing me from accessing plesk (that I know of) is Skins.php.
Is there a way that you (or someone else testing preview 3) could upload...
Sergey: I'm not using a Virtual Container of any sort. There is no option to download the files, just the autoinstaller.
If I would like to manually install the new Preview #3 to fix my broken Preview #2, how might I do that?
