Did you try plesk-installer --select-release-id PLESK_18_0_78 --upgrade-installed-components ? That worked for us on Ubuntu. The link provided in the faq did not work.

If you can access the hardware node you can try to enter the container.
vzlist lists all containers. vzctl enter [containerid] enters the container.

ownership.
