Issue Advanced Monitoring stops displaying data after server restart

Update: I did a cold stop / start of collectd and grafana and it eventually started displaying data again.

Issue Advanced Monitoring stops displaying data after server restart

Hi there! I've had this issue with Plesk Linux Onyx and now Obsidian for quite a while, but never got around to posting about it. Everytime I restart the server the Plesk monitoring stops showing data and I often need to restart services and clear the data (which is a nuisance) in order to get...

    CentOS 8 support

Hi, In case it helps anyone using CentOS8 + Obsidian. I've discovered (the hard way) that Apache mod_watchdog seems to now be a required module. Not sure why, but turning it off made all sites return nginx bad gateway error.

    .wp-cli/cache files

I thought I saw a changelog from WP Toolkit saying this was fixed, but I haven't tested. I've been using a cron job to empty the customer's directories as a workaround: 0 45 1 * * root rm -frv /var/www/vhosts/*/.wp-cli/cache/*

    CentOS 8 support

Hello, thank you for all your helpful comments on here. I have been waiting to deploy a new Plesk server, thinking that CentOS 8 will be supported further in the future. If I build a new server on Obsidian and CentOS 7.x, will I be able to do an in-place upgrade to 8 later on? (or, is that...

Question Using Amazon SES for Plesk customer sites email

Hi, I use Plesk Onyx on CentOS with the External SMTP Server option (MSMTP) to send all Plesk (notifications etc) and customer website emails (generated from customer websites) via Mailgun. This has worked well for many months. Deliver-ability is usually very good and the from field in email...

Question Exclude specific files from the backup

Hi there, Try this (the paths are relative to webspace root) **/{folder}/ For example, we use these rules to exclude backup files and a few other paths from our backups: **/*backup*.zip **/*backup*.gz **/*backup*.tmp **/*updraft*.zip **/*back-up*.zip **/wp-content/cache...

Question Use Let's Encrypt wildcard cert to secure Plesk Panel and Site Preview URLs?

Hi, On Plesk 17.9 I've been using an LE certificate to secure the actual Plesk Panel site for a while now. Although, back when I set this up I had to create a "dummy" website with the domain that the Plesk Panel uses, otherwise installing the LE cert for the Panel would fail. (I think this...

Question Change "from"-address for cron emails

Hi, You can use the MAILTO setting in your cron file or crontab: [email protected] That will send all cron job output to the designated email address.

Resolved Which mountpoint is checked for backup space calculation?

Hi, Some clarification on this would be helpful. What about the path specified for DUMP_TMP_D in psa.conf? Surely that's checked for sufficient disk space?

WordPress Toolkit - error rewriting image link during synchronization or cloning

Maybe this is due to the Plesk WP Toolkit using quite an old version of WP-CLI (it's 1.4.0 on my Plesk 17.8 server). Assuming that the WP Toolikt Clone rewrite uses 'wp search-replace', perhaps WP-CLI 1.4.0 doesn't play nice with WP 5.x? Would be nice to get the Plesk WP Toolkit using WP-CLI 2.x.

Issue Converting site to https:// with Advisor Extension

Hi, Thanks for the suggestion. It appears to work OK via CLI, but no difference when I go back to Plesk web UI -> Advisor # plesk bin http2_pref --enable HTTP/2 support was successfully activated. # plesk bin http2_pref --status Enabled I think this is just a bug with Advisor, many of my...

    Clearing the wptoolkit cache

Hi, Apparently that's not what that "clear-cache" command actually does. It's equivalent to "refreshing" a WordPress instance in the Plesk web UI. Question - .wp-cli/cache files

Issue Converting site to https:// with Advisor Extension

Hi, I miss the old Security Advisor extension, there was a nice easy way to install a Let's Encrypt cert and then, in another click, convert the site to https://. It all worked well, rewriting the database so all references to the site's domain were changed to https:// Now, with the Advisor...

Question Get list of sites with prefix, via CLI

Hi, I'm on Plesk Onyx, 17.8 on CentOS 7.5 I can get a list of all sites on the server with: plesk bin site --list ... which is great, but how would I get a list of all sites including the relevant prefix? i.e. with http:// or https:// included? Thanks for any help you might provide!

    .wp-cli/cache files

@Aleksey Filatev Thank you for your input. I didn't quite understand your earlier message, I thought you were saying that the 'features' setting prefix and the ini header [wpToolkit] was legacy. So, if 'cacheDataByVersionExpireTime' and 'cacheDataByVersion' have no effect, then these .wp-cli...

    .wp-cli/cache files

Hi all, I also have lots of files building up in subscription's .../.wp-cli/cache/. I have checked my panel.ini and I have: [ext-wp-toolkit] cacheDataByVersion = true cacheDataByVersionExpireTime = ‪604800‬ However, I have many files in .wp-cli/cache that are older than 7 days, so it...

Resolved Minimum required Apache modules for WordPress

Hi everyone, I'm trying to remove any unnecessary Apache modules from my CentOS 7.5 Plesk 17.8 servers. I host only WordPress sites. I use Nginx in proxy mode, and only PHP-FPM. Can anyone help with identifying Apache modules that are definitely not required for this kind of set up? I've...

Resolved Customers can't select PHP runtime in Plesk Panel

In case it helps others, I've resolved this by modifying the site_isolation_settings.ini. See: Enhancing Security My previous settings worked fine with Plesk 17.5, but something must be different in 17.8. I'm not sure why, by changing php_handler_type to fpm and fastcgi to off made all PHP...
