  • The BIND DNS server has already been deprecated and removed from Plesk for Windows.
If a Plesk for Windows server is still using BIND, the upgrade to Plesk Obsidian 18.0.70 will be unavailable until the administrator switches the DNS server to Microsoft DNS. We strongly recommend transitioning to Microsoft DNS within the next 6 weeks, before the Plesk 18.0.70 release.
  • The Horde component is removed from Plesk Installer. We recommend switching to another webmail software supported in Plesk.

Resolved Max post size for Apache web server?

Thanks for the reply @Peter Debik Well actually, yes. Even before i made these tweaks the smaller old patches would upload to the crm system without a hitch. (20-45MB in size). But this larger one and the latest patch for SuiteCRM doesn't not load. It just hangs basically. I have also...

Resolved Max post size for Apache web server?

So basically i need to upload a 140M patch for our CRM system which runs our VPS with Plesk First it was nginx that complained over the file size was too large. I think I have solved that issue. (ModSecurity: Request body (Content-Length) is larger than the configured limit (134217728)...

Question Create a (temporary) user for suppliers and support to login to a subscription?

Btw. It would be nice if there was like for example a "Manager", "Site manager", "3rd party", "database manager" role in Plesk or if you could customize your own user roles by the way. Wishful thinking I suppose.;) I mean.. we cannot be the only company in the world that sometimes need to let...

Question Create a (temporary) user for suppliers and support to login to a subscription?

Well we in our case we have a supplier (WP plugin developer), that needs to have access to edit the database and restore the plugin data etc. That is not possible with that limited user as I read it. They cannot login on the UI either. Do please correct me if I am incorrect about this. Thanks

Question Create a (temporary) user for suppliers and support to login to a subscription?

An admin account has access to the whole server and can control all aspects of that server while what i am referring to is just limited a certain area of the server e.g. one web hotel or "subscription" to use the Plesk terminology.

Question Database settings for Wordpress Multisite?

So of kind pointless function then... Well of course if you have many databases in your subscription account then that would make it easier to mange them by labeling them. So not fully pointless. Thanks yet again Peter for your help!

Question Database settings for Wordpress Multisite?

Hello everyone. Quick question: Should one assign a site to the DB when importing/installing a WPMU site (WPMU = Wordpress Multisite), to the system or just leave it intentionally blank? I mean since a WPMU website can literally host thousands of different domain names and websites in one...

    Question Locking subscriptions?

Sorry I meant service plan. Tired and very late here. Almost 03:00 am here and still gridning. Thanks a bunch for taking time to explain things to me. But this only applies if you're acting like a reseller. If you're not reselling web hosting at all, then you technically don't need to worry...

    Question Locking subscriptions?

Ah ok, now I get it. Thank you @scsa20 ! So basically they lock so they won't mess with the existing subscription plan. So what we need to do is to create some custom subscription plans that fits out needs and then they will not be locked.

    Question Locking subscriptions?

So I been searching for an answer as I am new to Plesk and my question which I am attempting to find an answer to is "what is the function and point of locking subscriptions?". Note that we are not reselling web space or anything like that . We´re a specialized sales and marketing agency for...

Btw... For the web app Invoice Ninja which we use in our company I need to install some php extentions for SnapPDF to work. https://github.com/invoiceninja/invoiceninja/issues/6741#issuecomment-1096000603 Now normally on my old Linux servers I would just run that suggested command out of the...

Question What is equivalent to Apache's www-data user in Plesk?

Thanks I have figured it out. Well I was more just looking for what it uses instead. The setup Plesk uses is obviously quite new and a bit weird (and a bit confusing) to me when yo come from running traditional servers. So the learning curve is a lot to take in. ;-) Anyway, thanks a bunch for...

Hi @scsa20 and thanks for the reply. Yeah, I'm want to run a maintenance script for Laravel so i can go ahead and update this web app to the latest version, plus it would need to run again after the update. I'm still uncertain what I need to replace the www-user with though. First for...

Question What is equivalent to Apache's www-data user in Plesk?

Thanks for your reply Peter and the information provided. So in the past on my Linux servers and lets say i wanted to run this maintenance command after upgrade I would usually type something like: cd /home/www/folder-xyz/public_html sudo -u www-data php artisan migrate and Linux would pick...
