  • The BIND DNS server has already been deprecated and removed from Plesk for Windows.
If a Plesk for Windows server is still using BIND, the upgrade to Plesk Obsidian 18.0.70 will be unavailable until the administrator switches the DNS server to Microsoft DNS. We strongly recommend transitioning to Microsoft DNS within the next 6 weeks, before the Plesk 18.0.70 release.
  • The Horde component is removed from Plesk Installer. We recommend switching to another webmail software supported in Plesk.

Removing Sitebuilder links on left side nav

I've just uninstalled Sitebuilder but it's left links on the left site of Plesk. This was after following the Sitebuilder uninstall instructions. Does anyone know how to remove the Sitebuilder links on the left side of Plesk 9.0? I'm running on Debian 4. Thanks

451 Error: queue file write error (only when using postfix)

I too am having this problem. Has anyone tried experimenting with the permissions and ownership of the postfix-queue file? I noticed that in the KB article it says to set the ownership and perms to mhandlers-user:popuser, 550. And goes on to give the example commands for CentOS. Does this...

Spam filter turned on for all mailboxes after upgrade

After I upgraded to Plesk 9.0.1 from 8.6 on Debian 4.0, I found that the spam filter was somehow turned on for all mailboxes, even through the mailboxes did not have the spam filter turned on. The fix was to turn on and then turn off the spam filter for the individual mailbox. Anyone have this...

    Single sign-on (SSO)

Thank you Ziba, I appreciate the help. The "sw-cp-server" sysinit script is not documented anywhere in the Plesk nor Sitebuilder manuals, and is a very misleading name for what it actually starts. I'm glad you replied.

    Doesn't anyone use SSO?

    Single sign-on (SSO)

I've been looking into enabling single sign-on for Plesk and Sitebuilder, and although the documentation for both products clearly state how to hook into an SSO server, there is no documentation on how to obtain and actually run the SSO server itself. It doesn't seem to come with Plesk or...

The documentation only mentions upgrading and migrating site on a...

    My Domains account

Here's the excerpt from the Plesk manual, in the About Plesk section:

    My Domains account

The manual mentions that I should have a special account in Plesk called My Domains for....well....my own domains. I don't seem to have that account on my system. I've upgraded Plesk since version 7 so I wonder if it's only something that gets created with a fresh installation of 8? Am I the...

    Watchdog 2 BROKEN

There is apparently a problem with /opt/psa/admin/plib/modules/watchdog/wdlib.php. Sw-soft have a replacement file containing some fixes which should get it to work. You'll need to contact support to get it.

Proper procedure for upgrading to 8.0

From experience I found that when upgrading within the 7.5.x series, it was best to upgrade the base package first before any other packages. For those that were successful with the upgrade, did you upgrade all the 8.0 packages at once? Or did you do the base package first followed by the others.

    ModSecurity

Is it just me or does ModSecurity make Apache take up loads of memory and doesn't free it back up? I'm using all of the gotroot rules but surely a single apache process isn't meant to grow to 100+ megs.

    Qmail just stops, almost daily!!!

I mailed SW-Soft about this and they supplied a fix, but the fix was to be applied to a different file to what they suggested. I informed them of this so they 'should' in theory be informing customers of the correct file to modify now. Anyways, here's how to solve the problem on Debian 3.1...

How can i change BIND DNS zone serial?

This is what support told me when I asked them a similair question. "It is possible to set serial value for dns zone to zero (4294967296) and wait until other dns-servers refresh their information and only after it update your dns-server with new serial, as decribed here in chapter 7...
