Question Server backup showing per subscription on client side

I’m with @Peter Debik on this one, mainly for the reasons he mentioned.

Question Server backup showing per subscription on client side

Hm, then I guess I'm the exception to the rule, where the clients expect the company to be able to restore things for them.

Question Server backup showing per subscription on client side

If we take it for granted that we take backups of the whole server anyway, the point of privacy & security is in my mind moot, esp. w/GDPR, where contracts are in place between client and service provider for services rendered, and may include backups and restoration. Yes, the subscription...

Question Server backup showing per subscription on client side

Ok, here's my thought pattern: As we have a central backup task automatically set for the server, is it possible to have a similar automattic task centrally set that puts each respective backup on each client's subscription? That way, the overhead cost of actually extracting something from a...

Question Server backup showing per subscription on client side

That's always an option, but what about an automatic or central way for the clients?

Question Server backup showing per subscription on client side

Ok, I may be asking something stupid here, but here it goes, is it possible to have the server backup showing up on each user's subscription individually? If not, how can we schedule that each subscription is made a backup on a daily basis? Thanks guys!

    Limit CPU usage per domain

@Sergey L , bumping this up, CloudLinux, if memory serves me right, isn't available for OpenVZ/Virtuozzo, so, maybe this feature can be introduced for CentOS and any/all other Linux distributions. We would use it by setting a percentage of the total CPU power each subscription can use in real...

    Question on WHMCS and Plesk

Can you try testing the following: https://domain.tld:8443 with username: the main website/FTP access username and password: that username's password? It should work, though I'm not really sure as I don't have WHMCS installed.

    Magento 2 plesk compatibility issue

I think Magento 2 requires MySQL 5.6 and Plesk comes with a previous version out of the box. If you can have Plesk handle mail and DNS, you can point an external web and database server, one that has Varnish installed as well, and install it there. In most cases, Magento is not suitable for...

    Alternatives for Span-assassin

@trialotto Maybe I can shed some light on MagicSPAM, yes, not the best out of the box software, but does help a lot. I have been using it with some tweaking on a shared hosting server with no issues for the past 7-8 years now. Granted, the "recommended" values do need some tweaking and I have...

    Question on WHMCS and Plesk

I think this is normal Plesk behaviour. At least the same thing happens with OBAS. I assume he can select both subscriptions, right? If so, it's perfectly normal behaviour and the second user/pass combination is for FTP access to the specified domain.

    Wordpress multisite

Did you specify the subdomain to use the same folder as the main site? If not, this may be the case. I'm using Multisite on a number of client websites with no issues whatsoever. One clue would be the use of *.domain.tld subdomain, that way, your Multisite installation will be able to use any...

Broken server with 100 websites after "yum update" and no more support from odin with my OVH license

@trialotto and @AndresT Unfortunately Plesk keys (web host edition for dedicated servers) bought from resellers (mainly keys created through Parallels/Odin Key Administrator) cannot be used to create tickets until now. I've tested it myself with a dedicated Web Host license issued from my Key...

About Backup security settings and backup restore on different Plesk installation

Yes, twice, both of which were successful. However, I was using the same hardware, OS and Plesk version at that time, so I am not really sure if that was the case or not. Now, I use Virtuozzo's backup tool for Plesk containers I deploy, in addition to backing things up through Plesk and saving...

About Backup security settings and backup restore on different Plesk installation

I use a specific password in my backups, as you never know when a disk failure might happen. In addition, I always run a raid1 or raid10 configuration in servers, so that I can avoid a bad disk issue. You can opt in a triple backup solution, where you keep one backup on the same server, one in a...

    Wordpress and CPU Usage

No problem @trialotto. Sorry if I'm not as knowledgable as you are in php-fpm, or server configuration. I am pretty sure that there are far more non-standard configurations of nginx from the default one. Surely there are numerous other configurations that would outperform a default...

    Wordpress and CPU Usage

FPM by far, especially if you use it with nginx. I especially like the php7+nginx stack lately, as it blows apache by far! Also have a look at the number of requests your site creates, as it has a small impact as well on the server.

    Wordpress and CPU Usage

To run php through apache FPM you need apache 2.4. You can find out apache's version by typing the following command: Debian/Ubuntu: apache2 -v RHEL/CentOS/Cloudlinux: httpd -v

Broken server with 100 websites after "yum update" and no more support from odin with my OVH license

Can you try rebooting the server and/or viewing the reboot process through a KVM solution?
