• The APS Catalog has been deprecated and removed from all Plesk Obsidian versions.
Applications already installed from the APS Catalog will continue working. However, Plesk will no longer provide support for APS applications.
  • Please be aware: with the Plesk Obsidian 18.0.78 release, the support for the ngx_pagespeed.so module will be deprecated and removed from the sw-nginx package.

10.4.4 - Fail to install applications (from Catalog) with PHP set to fastCGI

New Pleskian
Hello!

I have problems with the APS Apps-Catalog.
I can't install applications that require additional php-extensions like 'mysql', 'mbstring', 'curl', ... and so on.

Each time Plesk says:
Error: Unable to install the app on website eichelmann.net because hosting settings of this website do not meet the installation requirements. These requirements are listed below. Try installing the application on another website or contact your hosting provider to resolve this issue.

and gives additional information about the 'missing' modules
(i.e. WordPress:)
PHP extension The 'mysql' extension was not found.

In fact, all the modules that Plesk complains about, are installed!

When switching the Web-Space to "PHP - ApacheModule", the installation just works fine.
Even if I switch back to 'fastCGI' after installation, it seems to work.
But it can't be the solution to switch all webs to the unsafe ApacheModule-php only to make the apps catalog work. Espacially because the php's "safe_mode"-flag is no longer supported starting from php5.4 or so.

Any ideas how to get the apps catalog working with the php-option set to 'fastCGI' for the webs?

My system:
