• Please be aware: Kaspersky Anti-Virus has been deprecated
With the upgrade to Plesk Obsidian 18.0.64, "Kaspersky Anti-Virus for Servers" will be automatically removed from the servers it is installed on. We recommend that you migrate to Sophos Anti-Virus for Servers.
  • The Horde webmail has been deprecated. Its complete removal is scheduled for April 2025. For details and recommended actions, see the Feature and Deprecation Plan.
  • We’re working on enhancing the Monitoring feature in Plesk, and we could really use your expertise! If you’re open to sharing your experiences with server and website monitoring or providing feedback, we’d love to have a one-hour online meeting with you.

I'm running 2 test servers, and both have Redhat 9 and Plesk 7.5.1 on them.

Problems on install;

Server 1
server001.domain.net
  1. Dr Web (Key not found! Plesk authorization failed: HTTP Request error [7]
  2. Error: Plesk software not running
  3. Httpd [FAILED]
  4. websrvmng: Service httpd failed to gracefully restart: Operation not permitted
Server 2
    server002.domain.net
    1. Dr Web (Key not found! Plesk authorization failed: HTTP Request error [7]
    2. Error: Plesk software not running
    3. Httpd [FAILED]
    4. websrvmng: Service httpd failed to gracefully restart: Operation not permitted
Any help on this would be great, cant run tests and check things out if it does not work properly.

I was getting similar errors when I changed my hostname to srv1.mydomain.com, when I changed it back to mydomain.com the errors disappeared. I'm not sure if this is why your server is giving you errors, but it might be worth looking at...

Apache can't resolve the name of your server to an IP.

Either you have to specify a different name in the httpd.conf, fix your /etc/hosts file to have the IP and name match up, or put the name of your server into a proper DNS record so it can resolve, or fix /etc/resolv.conf so another nameserver can resolve the name.

Plesk software not running

Hi guys,

I am having much the same problem. I get two of the same errors as above...

# (Key not found! Plesk authorization failed: HTTP Request error [7]
# Error: Plesk software not running

I have tried the solutions that were suggested but the error continues. Is this something that is critical? The server appears to be functioning normally and I am having no troubles otherwise... is this something thats going to sneak up on me and bite me in the ***?

Thanks,

Steve
