  • The BIND DNS server has already been deprecated and removed from Plesk for Windows.
If a Plesk for Windows server is still using BIND, the upgrade to Plesk Obsidian 18.0.70 will be unavailable until the administrator switches the DNS server to Microsoft DNS. We strongly recommend transitioning to Microsoft DNS within the next 6 weeks, before the Plesk 18.0.70 release.
  • The Horde component is removed from Plesk Installer. We recommend switching to another webmail software supported in Plesk.

Issue 500 error: Website slowed down after ppa:ondrej/apache2 install

hillcow

New Pleskian
Okay, so we all know about the 500 error this morning. The early workaround provided by Plesk didn't work for me, so I did what a few user suggested:

sudo add-apt-repository ppa:eek:ndrej/apache2 sudo apt install apache2

This worked perfectly fine. However I noticed that my website slowed down significantly afterwards. How can I undo what I did and properly update apache2 so that it works like it's supposed to?

thanks a lot!

Better do a restore, I spent 3 hours on it today. For me this solution does not work optimally. In addition, subdomains are created with 500 errors.
Better to switch off the proxy for the webspace. Hosting Settings -> Proxy mode -> off

The only problem is the proxy so it can be temporarily resolved.

That doesn't sound like a solution?
Temporarily already.

But the patch has now helped me because the update did not come.

plesk sbin httpdmng --reconfigure-all
