Confirm bug

I was unable to reproduce the issue on Ubuntu 20 with WP Toolkit. I could create or remove the password protection as described without having issues with the password file. I tried to restart the web server in between to make sure that changed settings are applied, however, a restart is not really necessary for this type of configuration change.

Here are some things that you can check:
- Are you using the latest version of WP Toolkit (6.3.0-7826)?
- Could a security software in Wordpress interfere with settings? Some of them restore .htaccess settings to what they believe is correct on any site usage event, regardless of what you set on the system level. This could lead to a situation where files cannot be removed or updated easily, because that software always reverts to the version it believes should be used.
