502 Bad Gateway Upon Reboot

I was updating the hostname of my server and after I rebooted my server I could no longer login. I got a 502 Bad Gateway Nginx error but everything else worked (DNS, web sites, etc)

I found this article - http://kb.parallels.com/en/117480

Which had be disable apc in the php.ini. When i did this I was able to log in but my panel is starting to go slow.. would this have any effect disabling the apc in php.ini? Anyone else facing this issue?
