550 Permission denied

i have create a site on sheared ip, and if i try to upload files to directorys, i have this msg: 550 Permission denied.
if i look in the file manager i see that Group is root, is this the reason of the error message, how to chage to Group (root) to psaserv, plz Help.

Are the directories directly under the root of the domain, or are they under the httpdocs dir? Users dont have permissions to the root of the domain, only under specific directories such as cgi-bin, httpdocs, httpsdocs.

httpdocs

Hi the directorys are located direct under httpdocs, user is not ablle to upload delete or replace files in the folders, i have uploaded backups with ftp, root.
and the site that ihave create on ip ,,dont have this problem,, i have look in the domain / user setings did not have success...thank you.
